Donald Trump met Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle on Friday but the 92-year-old monarch was forced at one point to walk around the USA president after he halted abruptly during a ceremonial inspection of the guard.

In the same interview, Trump conceded that he felt unwelcome in London.

However, they do add: "But many people wish to observe the traditional forms".

Judi James said the American leader appeared to be unable to contain his excitement at meeting the monarch in her historic royal residence.

Blimp organizer Leo Murray told CNN the giant balloon had been created to speak to Trump "in a language that he understands, which is personal insults".

A source close to Trump was quoted as saying: "He won't put up with being lectured by anyone, even a member of the royal family".

Angel said the group planned to meet up with other counter-protesters they had connected with on Facebook.

With protests expected to continue well into the evening (and with the orange-hued baby Trump still flying high over central London), take a look at some of the best signs yet. Asked if he was concerned about protests during his visit, Trump told reporters in Brussels on Thursday: "I think they like me in the United Kingdom", and said the British people shared his concerns on immigration, claiming "that's why Brexit happened".

Prior to his visit, Mr Trump hit out at Mr Khan and said he has done a "terrible job" as London Mayor.

The comments came on the second day of Mr Trump's working visit to Britain.

However, it is unclear whether or not President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were actually late, or if the queen was just early - or that maybe she just wondered what time it was.

'So there's a very serious message behind this but what we're hoping is that on Friday this can be a symbol that people, no matter what they're campaigning on, can get behind, and can feel that this is representing them and all their campaign issues'.

Sarah Elliott, chairwoman of Republicans Overseas UK, told CNN she did not think Trump would be fazed by the stunt. "It's bollocks", she said. He seemed to take a few steps in front of her after she made a hand signal, and upon leaving his meeting with the Queen, Trump again walked a few steps ahead.
