Here's a complete tutorial on how you can enable Messages in iCloud in iOS 11 / iOS 11.4 and how you can use it too. It did make a comeback with iOS 11.3 beta a few months later but it was pulled yet again. Just launch the Settings app, tap on General and scroll down to Software Update.

Apple iOS 11.4 is available for download right now on iPhones and iPads. As with any iOS update, we recommend backing up your iPhone first. Do you plan on upgrading right away? Here's a rundown of the features. Also if you delete a Message on any device it will be removed from other synced devices as well. But, with AirPlay 2, you can finally pick a song and control the volume of your AirPlay 2-enabled speaker from Control Center, Music app, Home app, the Lock screen, or in-app controls on your Apple devices.

Until now, Apple fans could only use the original AirPlay format to take advantage of multi-room audio when streaming from iTunes running on a PC or Mac, not from a mobile device. Airplay 2 also helps HomePod get along with other manufacturers' speakers (like those from Sonos) to play music through all speakers in a home at the same time. What you can't do is control the balance between the stereo-paired HomePods, and there's still no way to equalize the output of the speakers.

The iOS 11.4 update also comes with the option for stereo pairs via two HomePod devices to create a wider soundstage effect. Deleting a message on one device would remove it from all your devices. These include attachments and photos too, saving more storage space on your device.

Apple has released iOS 11.4 which means we all get to finally try AirPlay 2, Apple's streaming feature that has been in development for nearly a year now. Here's a detailed look at the new features on iOS 11.4. When current users update their device's firmware to the just-released iOS 11.4, they'll be able to select German or French as optional languages.

Whenever you connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod to WiFi and plugged into AC power, then your Messages app will start syncing with iCloud.

Messages on iCloud can be turned on from the Settings Tapping on Account iCloud and toggling on iCloud backup for messages.
