Tyson Fury will fight for the first time in almost three years when he returns to the ring in Manchester Arena on June 9.

The former world heavyweight champion has signed a promotional deal with Frank Warren and although his opponent is yet to be confirmed the bout will be held at the Manchester Arena. "The "Mac" is back". Tyson Fury hasn't boxed since his victory over Wladimir Klitschko back in November 2015.

The British Boxing Board of Control suspended Fury in 2016, amid a separate UK Anti-Doping investigation.

The announcement of the fight coincides with Fury agreeing to a multi-fight extension with promoter Frank Warren.

Who do you think Tyson Fury will fight next?

"Keep up the good work AJ, flying the flag for Great Britain, and doing a good job, but "The Mack" is back and as I said before, I do believe I can beat you, and beat you I will do my old boy".

"Let's say I'm a lot, lot, lot lighter than I've been in the past".

By January, Fury had reportedly lost close to four stone in weight, and plenty more has fallen off since as evidenced by a picture uploaded to Instagram by "The Hitman" earlier this week.

It was gathered that the radical boxer would return against an unnamed opponent in Manchester.

"I'm the fittest that I've ever been".

Sure to be one of the stand-out events in the boxing calendar this year, Fury's return will only serve to enhance expectation that sooner or later, he will square up against the man now in possession of "his" belts, Anthony Joshua.

'If he wants to fight me next, he can fight me next. "I'm better than I've ever been".

But it's very much clear Fury is working his way towards reclaiming his place as the king of the heavyweight division.

"Until (other title holders) fight him", Warren said, "they can not consider themselves to be the (true) champion". "They're all very vulnerable and beatable".
