Ronda Rousey has marked her in-ring WWE debut with a brutal throwback to her time in the UFC.

Cena had been in the crowd earlier in the show, attending as a fan, when a referee came out after the Smackdown Women's Championship match and said something to Cena.

Rousey's entrance gear was heavily inspired by the late Roddy Piper - who she shares the "Rowdy" nickname with - coming out in a red plaid kilt and Piper's jacket, which she also wore during her debut at the Royal Rumble event in January. Whenever Angle seemed to get an opportunity to head over for a tag, either Triple H or Stephanie would find a way to prevent it. Because the camera couldn't stop cutting back to him to get a reaction.

Just as the match looked to be ending with both Triple H and McMahon in submissions, Angle was thrown into Rousey, and then tossed out the ring.

And that decision was clearly working well for Rousey as she took on McMahon on Sunday night, nabbing the win after using her signature armbar move.

A little more than a year after her disappointing return to the UFC, Rousey is making a new name for herself in the WWE ring.

The lights went out again afterwards, but this time, it's finally the Deadman who marched down the ring.

Despite Ronda's athletic pedigree, fans were apprehensive about her competing in her very first wrestling match at Wrestlemania.
