Will cooperate, ex-Trump aide says

Former Trump Aide Says He Was Having A Former Trump campaign aide backtracks on Mueller: 'I'm going to cooperate'

The former Trump campaign aide immediately turned to the cable news circuit for a series of no holds barred interviews, telling the stations' anchors that he has no intentions of complying with Mueller's request to appear before a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., on Friday.

Nunberg added that he also chose to go on live TV because he wanted people to know how grueling it has been to be in contact with the special counsel's office.

He argued it was unreasonably onerous and that he didn't want to be part of creating a circumstantial case against another former Trump adviser, Roger Stone - whom he called a mentor.

"Mr. Stone appears to be a person at the center of the worldwide intrigue, as you mentioned, the contact with Wikileaks allegedly, which is believed to be by Bob Mueller of investigative interest of a Russian plot that's already been charged in USA federal court", Melber said.

"Donald Trump did not collude with the Russians".

He ran a montage of some of the crazier moments from Nunberg's interviews yesterday to show "just how despicably low the Hate-Trump Media will go at every cost to try and damage this president". "I think it would be really, really amusing if they wanted to arrest me because I don't want to spend 80 hours going over emails I had with Steve Bannon and Roger Stone", he said.

Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion. Mueller has "something bad" on Mr. Trump.

"Why do I have to spend 80 hours going over my email? I have a life".

The adviser, Lebanese-American businessman George Nader, testified before a grand jury last week, two people told the New York Times, and Mueller is interested in whether Nader funneled money from the Emirates towards Donald Trump's presidential endeavors.

"Screw that", he told Gloria Borger on CNN.

"But they were "not helpful in terms of providing viewers with information of substance" and "causes credibility problems" for networks that went all-in on a questionable source". Nunberg and his lawyer are free to petition Mueller to narrow the scope of the subpoena. And Trump, by extension, is not smart enough.

Still, he told MSNBC that he thought Trump "may have done something during the election".

"I'm a little anxious about me", Nunberg told The New York Daily News in a wide-ranging interview. He campaigned his ass off.

The former campaign aide took a different tone on Monday, when he told the Washington Post in the first of several interviews, "Let him arrest me".

Nunberg added: "The Russians and Trump did not collude".

Mueller has been investigating Cohen's participation in a possible deal to build a Trump-branded skyscraper in Moscow in late 2015 and early 2016 with a longtime Trump business partner with a shady past, Felix Sater. "I don't know why he does", Nunberg said.

In January 2016, Erik Prince, the founder of the private security company Blackwater, met with a Russian official close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and later described the meeting to congressional investigators as a chance encounter that was not a planned discussion of U.S. -Russia relations.
