"Google employs illegal hiring quotas to fill its desired percentages of women and favored minority candidates, and openly shames managers of business units who fail to meet their quotas - in the process, openly denigrating male and Caucasian employees as less favored than others".

If you remember, Damore's memo, titled "Google's Ideological Echo Chamber", alleged that women were underrepresented in tech not because of systemic discrimination, but because of "differences in distributions of traits between men and women", and that "discrimination to reach equal representation is unfair, divisive, and bad for business". Together they are accusing the tech giant of discriminating against employees who are white, male and/or who hold conservative beliefs.

"Google's open hostility for conservative thought is paired with invidious discrimination on the basis of race and gender, barred by law".

Damore was sacked from Google, and while many people cheered this move, some conservative onlookers claimed the engineer actually had a legal case against the tech giant.

"This is about changing the behavior and attitude of Silicon Valley, where now the only acceptable form of discrimination... is that it's okay to disparage, smear, belittle, bully and discriminate against conservatives and white men", said Dhillon.

The suit states that Google engaged in discriminatory hiring practices... specifically utilizing diversity quotas to force more women and people of color into their ranks.

The suit claims Google protected employees who silenced conservatives: "Google created an environment of protecting employees who harassed individuals who spoke out against Google's view or the 'Googley way, ' as it is sometimes known internally".

"We look forward to defending against Mr Damore's lawsuit in court", a Google spokesperson told The Register.

Damore stated that women tend to be more interested in people rather than things, "empathizing vs. systemizing", whereas men have a higher drive for status and so tend to end up in leadership positions.

The most recent suit comes from James Damore, the fired author of a sexist memo circulated around the company a year ago.

The company, which called the memo "offensive" and "harmful", fired Damore, further elevating him as a victim of what his supporters called an overreaching "political correctness" and ideology rigidity within the tech industry.

Now, the company must battle both suits, with one claiming the company is doing too much to diversify its payroll, and the other claiming it isn't doing enough.

All this is happening while Google is fighting back claims that women at the company have been systematically underpaid.

Damore became a media mainstay after penning a highly controversial 3,300-word memo arguing against Google's perceived culture of political correctness. The class action suit is also demanding for a jury trial.
