Rays Negative on Curry's Sprained Ankle; MRI to Come

Curry sprains ankle in Warriors’ comeback win Stephen Curry

CHARLOTTE - Warriors guard Stephen Curry is officially listed as doubtful for Wednesday night's game against the Hornets with a sprained right ankle. We should have an update from the team on Tuesday.

"I sprained my ankle and I'll see how it feels tomorrow, and kind of go from there", said Curry, who scored 31 points and 11 assists in the win.

With the Warriors holding a 10-point lead over the Pelicans with 1:12 left in the game, Curry attempted to go for a steal on a pass from Dante Cunningham to E'Twaun Moore. The first surgery came after the 2010-11 season and was to fix ligaments that were torn as the result of multiple ankle sprains that happened during that season. He landed awkwardly on his right ankle and twisted his foot awkwardly.

Curry, 29, suffered the injury late in the Warriors' 125-115 road victory in New Orleans.

The good news is that the X-rays were negative.

Curry was asked if he knew how bad it was considering his history of ankle injuries. Stephen Curry falls into that category. "It's more on the - I won't just bounce back [Tuesday] morning waking up like, 'all right, I should be whatever, ' just because of swelling", Curry said after the game, as reported by ESPN. Curry was asked about the possibility of missing that game.
