Just hours after Georgia beat Auburn in the SEC Championship Game to earn a spot in the CFP, starting linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested. Stanley, who was driving, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and speeding (87 miles per hour in a 65-mph zone).

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith told the Athens Banner-Herald that Patrick was charged with possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana.

Patrick made three tackles in Georgia's 28-7 win over Auburn. He was arrested in October on misdemeanor marijuana charges and served a four-game suspension.

Check back for updates.

According to a Barrow County public information spokesman, Patrick was arrested for possession of marijuana of less than one ounce.

Stanley, a junior wide receiver, is used primarily as a special teams player and has recorded three tackles this year. Barrow County is adjacent to Clarke County, where the University of Georgia is located.

Patrick's first arrest came when he was a freshman at UGA in 2015.

Georgia is the No. 3 seed in the College Football Playoff and will play No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual on New Year's Day. "It's one you have to move on from, one you have to grow from".
