One of ASUS's focus markets is Russian Federation - certain new smartphone models have made their debuts there, but this one is, perhaps, a little more critical than usual as it not only launches the brand into the market with a 2:1 aspect ratio display.

Talking about the upcoming Zenfone Max Plus (M1) smartphone, ASUS has incorporated a similar design language alike to its Pegasus 4S (which is exclusive in China).

Zenfone Max Plus sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with the resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 80% screen-to-body ratio. In terms of RAM and storage, the smartphone comes in two variants; 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. There's also a fingerprint scanner located at the back of the phone. In case you are wondering, storage expansion is possible up to 256GB using microSD card. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G. Zenfone Max Plus gets its juice from a large 4130mAh non-removable battery which offers up to 24 days standby time and 24 hours of talk time. As it is the case with most Asus phones, this device will be loaded with software features in the camera interface. There's also an 8-megapixel selfie camera in the front and massive 4,130 mAh battery under the hood. This device will run on ZenUI 4.0 based on Android Nougat. Finally, the whole package will be backed by a 4,130mAh battery. Asus is expected to reveal the official price and availability details of Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) shortly before it goes on sale over there.

Coming to the camera department, the Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens.
