Vance Joseph: "Unacceptable" for Aqib Talib to fight personal battles

Vance Joseph: Vance Joseph: "Unacceptable" for Aqib Talib to fight personal battles

In the teams' 2016 season finale, Talib snapped the gold necklace dangling from Crabtree's neck, laughed about it on the bench, then helped the Broncos trounce the Raiders in a game that carried little meaning.

"I'll say this. I'm not sure how it all started", Joseph said in talking about the brawl in the first quarter of Sunday's game that saw Talib, and the Raiders' receiver Crabtree both ejected after throwing punches.

That Talib apparently grabbed Crabtree's chain is notable because he did the same thing during Denver's 26-6 victory over Oakland in Week 17 last season.

The brawl started after Crabtree aggressively blocked Talib on a running play, pushing the defender long after the two had run out of bounds and the play was dead. Harris doesn't believe Crabtree had any intentions of playing football on Sunday and was just looking for a fight.

Apart from Crabtree and Talib, game officials also sent Raiders right guard Gabe Jackson for making contact with an official, per Michael Gehlken of Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Broncos lost the game, however.

Harris continued, per Troy Renck: "He didn't come to play football".

Talib pulled off Crabtree's helmet and the two threw punches as they were separated by their teammates. Both Talib and Crabtree were given unnecessary roughness penalties. But him defending his teammate, I'm all for that.

"I don't like it and it's unacceptable", he said. "I didn't come out there to fight or wrestle with him", Talib said. We should expect to hear a decision from the league office later this week. "When those things start, it's a fine line between once it starts and not defending yourself..."

"But once it happens, how does a guy not defend himself?" I told our guys I don't want it, but once it happens, how does a guy not defend himself?
